Shirley March, nee Lanick, age 82, late of
Crest Hill and formerly of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Saturday,
Dec. 17, 2011 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the
beloved mother of Gail (Robert) Butcher of Orland Park, Carol (Michael)
Bialon of Plainfield and Janice (John) Slawinski of Plainfield; dearest
grandmother of Beth Butcher, Brian (Amy) Butcher, Robbie Butcher, Amy
(Eric) Jensen, Adam Bialon and Nicholas, Alyse and Julia Slawinski;
dear great-grandmother of Andrew, Matthew and Luke Jensen; fond sister
of Lorraine (late Bill) Klann of Park Ridge; and many nieces and
nephews. Preceded by her husband of 50 years, Stanley C. March (May 8,
2000); and her parents, Joseph and Irene Lanick. Shirley was a devoted
wife and a caring and loving mother who will be fondly remembered always
by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for
Shirley March will be Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 at 9:45 a.m. from the
Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL
60431 to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, Plainfield, for Mass at
10:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice. Memorials to the
Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated. Visitation Tuesday from 3
to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

It is with sorrow that we have learned of the death of Shirley March. Shirley
worked at DePaul from 1978 until her retirement in 1991 from the Cashier's
Office. Shirley passed away on December 17 at the age of 82. She is survived
by three children, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services have been held. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association
