It is with great sadness we learned Kenneth Matiya, carpenter in Facilities Operations on the Barat Campus, died on December 20, 2013. He joined Barat College in 1991 and retired in 2006. He was a resident of Lake Bluff, Illinois. A Memorial gathering is planned for Ken on Sunday, January 12, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at
Lakehouse
525 Rockland Road
His son said it is a restaurant his Dad loved. All who knew Ken at the College are most welcomed to join family and friends at the Memorial.

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death on December 20, 2013 of Mr. Ken Matiya. Ken was a university retiree who worked as a staff carpenter from 1991 until his retirement in 2006. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 12th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Lakehouse, 525 Rockland Road, Lake Bluff, IL.
