Dear Colleagues,
This February, the university was saddened by the loss of long-time friend and
colleague, Professor Dick Houk. Dick taught for over 50 years beginning in
1946, and founded the Geography Department and the DePaul Geographical Society.
A memorial service for Dick will be held on Wednesday, May 30, from 9 - 11 a.m.
in the Cortelyou Commons at the Lincoln Park Campus. Faculty, staff, and
retired colleagues are welcome to come celebrate Dick's life, legacy, and valued
service to DePaul.
Please RSVP your attendance to Alice Farrell in the Office of Mission and
Values, at afarrell@depaul.edu or 312/362-8822 by Monday, May 28.
Thank you.
