Sixteen DES members enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Driehaus Museum on June 18, 2014. The Gilded Age home was built in the 1880s for banker Samuel Mayo Nickerson and the museum was founded by Richard Driehaus, DePaul Trustee, in 2003. Mr. Driehaus commissioned a five-year restoration effort to preserve the stucture and its magnificent interiors. Read more about the Driehaus Museum.
Enjoy the slide video from the day.
The DES is open to all faculty and staff of DePaul University who have retired from the university with 20 years of full-time service and are 55 years or older, or have retired from the university with 10 years of full-time service and are 62 years or older.

Save the Dates: Spring Luncheon and Driehaus Tour
We have two upcoming DES events and hope many of the DePaul Emeritus Society members will be able to participate. Invitations to the two events will be mailed in early April, but in the meantime, mark your calendars.
Spring Luncheon - Friday, May 16, 2014
The luncheon will be held on the Lincoln Park Campus. We are so excited to have several students who have been selected by the editors of the student literary and arts magazine Crook & Folly to read from their original writings. And, of course, we will have a wonderful lunch and camaraderie.
Driehaus Museum Tour - Wednesday, June 18, 2014
Join us for a Driehaus Museum guided tour of the Highlights of the Museum Collection and Tiffany. An included brunch on the Lincoln Park campus and a trolley ride to the museum are included in the event. The event will be limited to 18.
